Megan Collier

I am a self-taught artist and have been painting and exhibiting in New Zealand for the past 13 years.
My preferred medium is using both oil and acrylic techniques on board. To be confident of robust and durable work, I make my own frames and finish with resin.
The building now sits within a study of botanic context combining ideas of heritage, local identity, biodiversity and sustainability. In a world of mass production, urban deserts and monoculture, the wild landscape and the vital life they sustain now stand unique; one of the greatest pleasures of them all.
Through my painting I hope to encourage you to rediscover, nurture and enjoy your own wild environments whilst taking a breath and relaxing.
