Anna Leyland

Anna Leyland's works are a reflection of her perception of life. She chooses to see the beauty in everything around her; specifically the beautiful mix of cultures we have in Aotearoa. This is what she incorporates into all of her works, utilising pattern and symbolism. These are directly influenced by the multicultural heritage of her son and herself; Fijian, Wallisian, Futunaan, Scottish, Hungarian, English and Kiwi. Anna has taken personal symbols and patterns from these different cultures and developed them into her own, which then tell her story. Her works are culturally diverse and inherently attract a diverse audience.
