“I try to capture the feeling of a place rather than the real life depiction and I use mainly acrylics in many transluscent layers to capture the mood. Many of my paintings are started without a real vision of the completed work. I like the freedom of just putting the paint on and waiting for the painting to ‘speak’ to me.”
